Meeting at the Jagiellonian Library on the organization of the Africanist exhibition

On 12 April 12 2023, at the Jagiellonian Library a meeting was held regarding the organization of an Africanist exhibition on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Jagiellonian Research Center for African Studies. The event will also accompany the Congress of Polish Africanists, which will be held on 23-25 May 2024 at the Jagiellonian University. The planned exhibition is a joint initiative of the Jagiellonian Research Center for African Studies, the Ethnographic Museum of Kraków and the Jagiellonian Library. The event will be, among other things, an opportunity to present the African collections of the Ethnographic Museum of Kraków and to recall the figure of Prof. Roman Stopa, professor of the Jagiellonian University, an outstanding Africanist and world-renowned researcher of Khoisan languages.

The Wednesday meeting was attended by the Director of JRCAS prof. Robert Kłosowicz, the Director of the Ethnographic Museum of Kraków Monika Dudek, the curator of the Museum Jacek Kukuczka and the Head of the Cultural Events Section of the Jagiellonian Library Małgorzata Kusak.
