30th anniversary of the death of Prof. Tadeusz Lewicki

30 years have passed since the death of prof. Tadeusz Lewicki (Nov 22, 1992), a professor at the Jagiellonian University, an outstanding Arabist and Africanist, long-term director of the Institute of Oriental Philology and one of the pioneers of African Studies at the Jagiellonian University. On this occasion, the delegation of the Jagiellonian Research Center for African Studies: Prof. Robert Kłosowicz and Dr. Joanna Mormul, visited the grave of prof. Tadeusz Lewicki at the Rakowicki Cemetery in Krakow and laid a commemorative wreath on behalf of the JRCAS. In the November issue of “Alma Mater” of the Jagiellonian University monthly you can also read an article by prof. Kłosowicz, which features the passionate and full of academic successes life of prof. Tadeusz Lewicki.
