Course by Dr István Tarrósy “Interdisciplinary Development Studies and the Changing Global Context – Theory, Methodology and the Case Study of Sub-Saharan Africa”

We invite you to attend a course by the visiting professor, Dr István Tarrósy from the University of Pécs.

From the 13th to 26th May 2015, Dr Tarrósy will teach a 16-hour course and workshops: Interdisciplinary Development Studies and the Changing Global Context – Theory, Methodology and the Case Study of Sub-Saharan Africa. The basis for getting credit will be handing in an essay on a topic agreed upon with the lecturer and active participation in the course (discussions, a short presentation prepared in groups). A detailed description can be found in the attachment. The course is organised within the framework of the Interdisciplinary Doctoral Studies project “Society-Technologies-Environment” (www.set.uj.edu.pl) and co-financed by the European Union within the framework of the European Social Fund. The course participants will be obliged to fill out a declaration of participation in the project, i.e. PESF (a requirement of the ESF).

Dates:

13.05, 14.05, 18.05, 19.05: time 5:00-7:15 p.m.

20.05, 21.05: time 5:00-6:30 p.m.

25.05: time 5:00-6:00 p.m. – a summary of the course, handing out participation certificates
