On April 15th of this year, at the Embassy of the Republic of Rwanda in Warsaw, the Ambassador of Rwanda to Poland, Professor Anastase Shyaka, met with the Director of the Jagiellonian Research Center for African Studies, Professor Robert Kłosowicz. The meeting focused on the plenary panel to be organized during the 7th Congress of Polish Africanists, scheduled for May of this year. The Rwandan panel will primarily commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Rwandan genocide, and also explore how Rwandan society is progressing in rebuilding the community after these tragic events. On this occasion, a declaration was made to establish closer cooperation between the JRCAS and the Embassy, aiming to facilitate contacts between the JRCAS and Rwandan universities in the near future.
