We kindly inform you that the call for papers for the 9th European Conference on African Studies (ECAS9: African Futures) is still open – it has been extended to January 23, 2023! The conference will take place from May 31 to June 3, 2023 in Cologne.

We encourage you to participate and recommend the panel Social-political transformations in the African Great Lakes Region in the postcolonial perspective, submitted by Dr. Joanna Mormul from the Jagiellonian Research Center for African Studies and Dr. Kateřina Ženková Rudincová from the Department of Human Geography and Regional Development of the University of Ostrava, our partner institution.
