The ninth European Conference on African Studies: African Futures (ECAS9) will be held in Cologne on May 31 - June 3, 2023, jointly organized by the University of Cologne’s Global South Studies Center (GSSC) and the Catholic University of Leuven’s Institute for Anthropological Research in Africa (IARA). Call for papers is open until January 9, 2023. We encourage you to participate and recommend the panel Social-political transformations in the African Great Lakes Region in the postcolonial perspective, submitted by Dr. Joanna Mormul from the Jagiellonian Research Center for African Studies and Dr. Kateřina Ženková Rudincová from the Department of Human Geography and Regional Development of the University of Ostrava, our partner institution.
