On October 27-28, 2022, Dr. Kateřina Ženková Rudincová from the Department of Human Geography and Regional Development (Katedra Sociální Geografie a Regionálního Rozvoje) of the University of Ostrava, our partner institution, visited the Jagiellonian Research Center for African Studies.

The visit was held in the framework of the research grant “Socio-political transformations in the African Great Lakes region in the postcolonial perspective” (Competition for the international grant proposals under the PRA FutureSoc, ID.UJ), which is being realized by the research team made up of: prof. Robert Kłosowicz, dr. Joanna Mormul and dr. Kateřina Ženková Rudincová. The meeting was devoted to the preparation of a project proposal for the NCN OPUS LAP competition.

In addition, there was also a meeting between Dr. Ženkova Rudincova and the Deputy Director of the Institute of Political Science and International Relations of the Jagiellonian University, Dr. Edyta Chwiej, during which the possibility of signing an Erasmus+ agreement between the Institute and the Department of Human Geography and Regional Development of the University of Ostrava was discussed.
