We are pleased to announce that in August 2022 a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Jagiellonian Research Center for African Studies and the Africa Research Centre of the University of Pécs. The agreement is aimed at cooperation in the field of academic research conducted by both units (including joint scientific publications), as well as regarding international exchange programs implemented by the Jagiellonian University and the University of Pécs as part of their educational agenda (e.g., through promotion and experience sharing). The signed agreement also enables short- and long-term exchange of faculty members and non-academic staff as part of the bilateral exchange.

It is worth mentioning that cooperation with the Africa Research Centre of the University of Pécs also took place earlier, e.g. in 2018 the Jagiellonian Center for African Studies partnered (together with several other institutions) in the organization of the 5th Pécs African Studies Conference (May 24-26, 2018).
