It is with deep regret and sadness that we inform you that on July 11, 2022, died Dr. ALICJA MAŁECKA, Arabist and Africanist, specialist in Swahili language and culture. She was a long-time employee of the Institute of Oriental Philology (now the Institute of Oriental Studies) of the Jagiellonian University.

Funeral ceremonies will begin on Monday, July 18, 2022, at 9.40 in the chapel at the Rakowicki cemetery.
